Healthy Eating Week - Commencing 24th September 2007.

Thanks to funding from Erewash CVS we had lots of fun eating our 5 a day. Fruity Faces, Traffic Light Smoothies, Veggie Houses and Weird and Wonderful allowed the children to try different foods and have some fun.

Working in conjunction with our health visitor we provided 5 a day leaflets, lunchbox ideas and a bookmark to take home. The funds allowed us to buy a fantastic market stall, threading fruit shapes and new "healthy" plastic food.

Breaston Pre-school Playgroup 40th Anniversary

Breaston Pre-school Playgroup's 40th Anniversary cake by Iain Edgar

Breaston Pre-school Playgroup staff (old and new)

Big Birthday Bash - On the 7th July 2007, we celebrated our 40th Anniversary.

The sun was shining, and we had many visitors including Liz Blackman MP who officially opened the event. The local Police chose the quiz winner by pulling a name out of their hat! Founding Members Sheila, Pat, Avril and Libby joined in the celebrations. The winner of the Fancy Dress competition came as a Birthday Cake! The real thing (pictured to the left) was kindly made by Iain Edgar (one of the Dads!). Thank you to all who came along to support us.

We raised £518.00 for school resources and equipment.
